Dr. Whitney Koch Owens is a licensed psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment with adults. Her areas of focus include eating disorders, chronic depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relational issues, and addictions. Dr. Owens works with individual adults, couples, families, and groups.

Since arriving in Las Vegas in 2008, Dr. Owens has been a leader and innovator in the behavioral healthcare community. Dr. Owens served on the Executive Board of the Nevada Psychological Association (NPA) for over a decade, including serving as President from 2013-2014. Dr. Owens currently serves as the President of the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners. Dr. Owens proudly serves as a resource line facilitator for the Nevada Physicians Wellness Coalition and is passionate about working with physicians and their families.
In addition to her work as a psychologist, Dr. Owens is an E-RYT200 Yoga Teacher with specialized training in several styles of yoga, including Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. She is also specially trained in teaching meditation and mindfulness skills. In her free time, Dr. Owens enjoys international travel and teaching yoga. She co-facilitated the 2021 Mind & Body Wellbeing Teacher Training with an international team of psychologists, yoga teachers, and leaders in the international yoga community. Dr. Owens is also a proud alumnus of Leadership Las Vegas, a program of the Vegas Chamber.
Dr. Owens also specializes in working with high-achieving professionals, including physicians and healthcare workers. She specializes in working with professionals experiencing high perfectionism, disorders of overcontrol, and burnout. Dr. Owens is passionate about improving our healthcare workforce and contributing to the care and treatment of physicians in Nevada.

He specializes in evidence-based practices with adults. His primary areas of focus include depression, anxiety disorders, and interpersonal and relationship difficulties. Dr. Fertel works with individual adults, couples, and groups.
When not working at Vegas Psychology and Mindfulness Center, Dr. Fertel teaches psychology courses at UNLV. Additionally, he enjoys creative pursuits and spending time with friends and loved ones.

Taylor Milner
Advanced Doctoral Student
Taylor Milner is currently an advanced doctoral student under the supervision of Dr. Whitney Koch Owens. She specializes in using evidence-based practices with adults. She is obtaining specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and co-leading DBT group with Dr. Owens. Her primary areas of focus include working with people with challenges in emotion regulation, interpersonal relationships, depression, and anxiety. She is interested in developing clinical expertise in the areas of mindfulness, emotional regulation and resilience in order to work with teachers in enhancing their well-being.
When not training at the Vegas Psychology and Mindfulness Center, Taylor enjoys cooking, gardening, going to concerts, and spending time with loved ones.
