Psychotherapy Services Offered
Individual Psychotherapy
Individual therapy is an opportunity to work on personal issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and addictions. Sessions generally last 50 minutes and are usually held once a week or bi-weekly. The length of therapy is determined on an individual, on a case-by-case basis.
Dr. Owens is comprehensively trained in providing the following types of therapy:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma
Couples Psychotherapy
Couples therapy is a chance for couples to work on communication, sexual concerns, and other issues that come in the way of a happy and satisfying relationship. Couples sessions generally last for 50 minutes and are held either weekly or bi-weekly. There may be times throughout the counseling process when each individual may be seen separately to work on individual concerns.
Dr. Owens specializes in working with high-conflict couples who experience high emotionality and difficulty connecting and communicating.
Group Psychotherapy
Dr. Owens leads Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy Classes on an ongoing basis. Group therapy can be an effective way of learning valuable skills that allow you to make more meaningful progress in therapy.
Clinical Supervision
Dr. Owens supervises Psychological Trainees, Psychological Assistants, Marriage and Family Interns, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling students. Receiving therapy from one of Dr. Owens’ trainees is a great way to access high quality therapy services at a lower cost. Dr. Owens provides oversight and supervision of her students to ensure that you will receive high quality care and treatment.
